Supplementary Guidance: Strategic Transport Fund (12 December 2014 - 6 February 2015)

The SDPA is currently consulting on the first of two pieces of statutory supplementary guidance to be produced to support the Aberdeen City and Shire Strategic Development Plan (2014). The draft guidance sets out a mechanism by which developer obligations for strategic transport improvements will be calculated and sought to deal with the cumulative impact of new development in and around Aberdeen. The guidance covers the whole of Aberdeen  City and those parts of Aberdeenshire within both the Aberdeen Housing Market Area and the plan's Strategic Growth Areas. The guidance will, once adopted, replace the current non-statutory guidance which has been in operation since March 2012.

Proposed Aberdeen City and Shire Strategic Development Plan (22 February - 12 April 2013)

***THIS CONSULTATION CLOSED ON 12 APRIL 2013 AT 5PM***

The SDPA is currently consulting on a proposed strategic development plan. This will eventually replace the current structure plan, approved by Scottish Ministers in 2009.

The proposed plan is informed by the monitoring of the current structure plan as well as responses to the main issues report received last year. The proposed plan retains the vision and spatial strategy of the structure plan and is designed to maintain and enhance the area's enviable quality of life and strong position in the Scottish and wider UK economies.

This represents the last opportunity to make a representation before the plan is submitted to Scottish Ministers for examination and approval later this year. It is anticipated that the strategic development plan will replace the structure plan in late 2013 or early 2014.
