The Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 and associated changes to the development plan system give greater emphasis to the importance of monitoring.
Monitoring arrangements have been integral to the preparation of the emerging structure plan. Each target in the draft structure plan has associated monitoring arrangements. However, it is not anticipated that specific monitoring reports will be prepared for the new plan until 2009.
When monitoring reports or statements are prepared, they will be available here. This will include housing and employment land audits which are published annually.
Monitoring reports have been prepared for the current structure plan and these can be found on the NEST website.
