Local PlanLocal Plan
Local plans have been prepared by both Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils to conform to the current structure plan. These plans look forward to 2010 in some detail and contain indicative proposals for the period to 2015.
The Strategic Development Planning Authority has no responsibility for the two local plans or subsequent local development plans (see note below), although they are very important implementation mechanisms for the structure plan and subsequent strategic development plans.

Note: Under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006, local plans will be replaced by local development plans. It is expected that regulations governing the preparation of local development plans will be published in early 2009.
