The current structure plan was approved by Scottish Ministers in August 2009 and looks forward to 2030. It is a short, visionary and accessible plan with a Crystal Mark from the Plain English Campaign.

Under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006, structure plans will be replaced by strategic development plans in the four largest city-regions. A leaflet Strategic Development Plans in Scotland - The Way Forward has been produced to provide further information and guidance. |
