Key Agencies

'Key Agencies' have a statutory role in the preparation of a strategic development plan under s9, 10 and 13 of the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006. These will be defined by regulation in late 2008 or early 2009.

On the basis of the draft regulations, five key agencies have been identified. In addition, three further agencies have been identified [*] which will fulfil a similar role but cannot be recognised as 'key agencies' for legal reasons.
