The Aberdeen City and Shire Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA) was published on 15 June 2010. The assessment has been appraised as 'robust and credible' by the Scottish Government's Centre for Housing Market Analysis.
This assessment will inform the local development plans being prepared by the two councils and will be updated prior to informing the strategic development plan and local housing strategies in early 2011.
Officers from both planning and housing services of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils, along with the SDP Team have worked on the preparation of the assessment. This has been informed by a wider partnership which took in housing associations, Homes for Scotland, mortgage lenders, the Aberdeen Solicitors Property Centre and other community planning partners.
