At the end of July the Scottish Government (Marine Scotland) published a range of consultation documents collectively titled ‘Planning Scotland’s Seas’.
They are a series of five consultation documents which are addressing and looking for feedback on how we interact with our seas and marine environment. The documents are concerned with topics such as the interaction between land based planning and marine planning and identify areas and habitats within Scottish seas which require special protection. They also propose a strategy to coordinate the development of large scale offshore renewable energy.
